Manufacturing Day is an annual, national event during which U.S. manufacturers open their doors to demonstrate the potential of modern manufacturing and draw attention to the outstanding opportunities that a career in manufacturing can provide. "Manufacturing Day provides us with a great opportunity to show the community what manufacturing is all about and see it first-hand in our state-of-the-art facility at Sioux City Foundry," says Andy Galinsky, CEO, Sioux City Foundry Co. This invite-only event will include an introduction/presentation from CEO Andy Galinsky and guided tours of its Reinforcing Steel, Contract Manufacturing, Steel Service Center, and Structural Fabrication facilities in Sioux City, Iowa and Metal Casting facility in South Sioux City, Nebraska. The event aims to bring attention to the unique value in the manufacturing industry, highlight Sioux City Foundry's diverse products, services and capabilities, as well as celebrate 145-years as a family-owned manufacturer.
Manufacturing Day is co-produced by the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association (FMA), International (FMA), the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), the Manufacturing Institute (MI), and the National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP).
